Alas, another casual game that kept me awake and made me stay home. Fix it Up: Kate’s adventure is a great game that challenged me until the very end. For someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars and how an auto shop is run, I can say I’m proud of myself, after trying a few levels and learned the basics. It was rough though.
I was looking for a walkthrough, but seems like there isn’t any out there. Maybe there is in game forums, but was looking for quick tips, not spoilers. So here are some tips for those who love this game and might need a little help.
Building a helicopter (final bonus round)
You start with $100,000 and two cars, a sedan and a mini. Upgrade the sedan with your existing spare parts and wax your mini immediately. While upgrading you can keep on renting the mini until the sedan is ready to go. Don’t buy spare parts yet. Just keep an eye on the cars that come and go. If you spot a sports car or a convertible that’s reasonable to buy with your existing money, do it! You can then start selling your mini and upgraded sedan.
As you go through the game, you need to keep on buying sports cars (the more the better) and convertibles. If you are lucky to get a car that is owned by a celebrity, fantastic! This will increase your rent in the long run. Fill up your lot and wait until you get as much money to start buying spare parts. Hire employees gradually. Around the time you are warned that you don’t have time left, you can start selling your cars to get that cash needed for the last stage. Eventually you’ll build that helicopter and finish the game just about a minute before your time runs out.
Buying cars even if they are expensive
It makes sense to buy cars when you see that green check and you should do this most of the time. But, there are some levels that might be too tight that you just can’t wait until the next best deal to pass by. This is true if you’d like to finish each level in “prime time”.
This is beneficial if you are expected to get certain cars in your lot, upgraded, tuned and has a new engine. As this takes time, if you see required cars and are a bit expensive (around $1000 – 5000), then grab it. Just make sure they are in working condition and has most of the upgrades. Sometimes you even get a fully upgraded car and all you need is to wax it.
Selling vs. Renting
If you need money ASAP to finish the level, either to buy more spare parts, hire more people or buy new cars, then keep on selling. It’s good to note that you have to sell it at the recommended price and don’t sell too many cars at the same time. Renting is really good when money is needed to snowball at the end. If it’s just upgrades then it’s better to rent your existing cars. Always have that good balance. Rent cars that have higher value and sell cars that are lower at certain points in the level.
Play the bonus levels
Alway s strive to play the bonus levels, though it may or may not be connected to the whole story line, it prepares you for the next location levels.
I can add more but would love to hear all other players out there. If you find a walkthrough, post it here for the benefit of other gamers.

Hi!
I’m happy to see that you like our game
I can add two tips to your list:
* for helicopter, which is intentionally hard, you can also try to disassemble sports and cabrios! I know – it’s hearts’ breaking but they’ll give you huge amount of spare parts from another source
* if you need money you can also play reselling cars – get every good offer of working car and sell it with good price – getting green hand twice in this operation may give huge boost
Cheers!

Thanks Adam for the additional tips!
Yup, thought about disassembling sports cars when I reached a point of desperation…but yes, it was just too painful.

I need help!! I am on the final level (not the bonus one) and my field is full of the 6 of each car, but my rent is only abou £193,000 when it needs to be £200,000. All my cars are upgraded and complete, and my whole lot is full (only 12 empty slots). How do I get it up to £200,000??
Thanks

Hi
To get to the £200,000 you need to fill up all the lots with sports/open top cars – get some with stars if you can – and have a sports car in the showroom ready to sell
